This beautiful one-size robe is crafted from two lengths of silk, with decorative hand-stitching down the centre-back and sides to create loose arm holes.
This style is crafted from a luxurious habutai silk, which has an exquisite liquid drape. Each piece of silk is individually folded, clamped, dyed and re-dyed by hand by two of India's foremost Master Artisans.
This type of dying technique is called Itajime and is one technique of Shibori, which uses pieces of wood clamped together around sections of folded fabric to resist the dye in particular shapes. No two robes will be identical - how fabulous is that?
Our silhouettes are designed to enhance layering, flow & drape. The clothing is stitched by brothers Parvez & Lal in Delhi.
100% silk. Gentle hand wash separately in mild detergent and cold water. Do not soak. Drip dry in shade.
Size: One size suitable for XS-XL. Fabric measures approx. 95 cm (37") in length.
